This topic is dedicated to the actor's and actress's who've lost their lives, but will never be forgotten as long as the Power Rangers live on...

Actor: Robert L. Manahan (August 23, 1956 – June 30, 2000)
Series/Character: Mighty Morphin, Zeo, Turbo, and In Space - Voice of Zordon
Cause: He died in the year 2000 due to heart failure.

Actress: Thuy Trang (December 14, 1973 - September 3, 2001)
Series/Character: Mighty Morphin - Trini Kwan
Cause: She died in an automobile accident on September 3, 2001, when the automobile she was a passenger in crashed. She was not wearing a seatbelt and died instantly. The Power Rangers Time Force episode "Circuit Unsure" was dedicated in memory of Thuy Trang.

Actor: Jack Banning (1932 - July 10, 2005)
Series/Character: In Space and Lost Galaxy - Professor Phenmenous
Cause: Mr. Banning passed away sometime in 2005 due to complications of pneumonia.

Actor: Bob Papenbrook (September 18, 1955 - March 17, 2006)
Series/Character: Mighty Morphin - Rito Revolto and Lost Galaxy - Deviot
Cause: Bob died of chronic lung complications in March of 2006.

Actress: Machiko Soga (March 18, 1938 – May 7, 2006)
Series/Character: Mighty Morphin - Japanese Rita Repulsa
Cause: Machiko Soga never filmed for the American adaption, but was used from the Japanese footage in the first season having her voice dubbed over by Barbara Goodson. Machiko died of pancreatic cancer on May 7, 2006. Footage of her from Mahou Sentai Magiranger was used in Power Rangers Mystic Force as Rita's good form, Mystic Mother, in the episode "Mystic Fate" in her memory.

Actor: Edward Albert (February 20, 1951 - September 22, 2006)
Series/Character: Time Force - Mr. Collins
Cause: He died in September of 2006 due to lung cancer he had been battling for 17 months.

Actor: Richard Genelle (October 12, 1961 – December 30, 2008)
Series/Character: Mighty Morphin and Zeo - Ernie
Cause: He passed away from a heart attack. He was only 47 years old.

Actress: Peta Rutter (December 31, 1959 – July 20, 2010)
Series/Character: Mystic Force - Udonna
Cause: Peta Rutter passed away due to complications from a brain tumor.

Actor: Maurice Mendoza (July 26, 1974 – August 13, 2013)
Series/Character: Mighty Morphin – Richie (Played Trini’s love interest.)
Cause: Undisclosed.

It is hard to believe all these young people are already gone from a series that was popular not more then a decade ago. If anyone has anymore information on anybody else from Power Rangers that we could pay tribute to, please let me know.

Thuy, Machiko, Robert, Bob, Edward, Jack, Richard, and Peta... thank you for being apart of our childhood memories and holding a place dear to our hearts. We'll see you all again one day.

Damn it, it still puts a tear to my face when I hear that Thuy Trang died in that tragic accident. Let me just take a moment to pray. sad.gif I'm glad you decided to re-post this topic Ryu. Hopefully this list doesn't get any bigger, because these kinds of things are just saddening.

It's terrible that we lost all of these people. It makes me sad to think about this. We also lost Richard Genelle, who played Ernie during MMPR-Zeo. Just thought I'd point out you left him off the list.

It's really a shame to see how many of the actors/actresses have already passed on. Thuy's death was the most surprising to me out of any of them when I first learned about it.

And well right now Richard Genelle's is a shocker. Because I never even knew that he passed on. Guess he died about two years ago due to a heart attack.

May all of these actors/actresses rest in peace.

I never did pay my respects to these great actors during the old forum and it's time for me to correct my error. Rest in Peace, your fans miss you and remember you.

I don't know why Richard Genelle wasn't up there because I believe he was on the old GZ, but maybe when the topic was copied he hadn't died yet or we hadn't learnt of his death. sad.gif Therefore, he is now here, as sad as that makes us, he's serving teenagers in a better place.

Although those losses make me sad, I'm feeling better if I think about the fact that we didn't lose any of the people on our list due to alcohol and drug abuse or suicide.

I regret to inform everyone that Peta Rutter passed away back in July of this year from a brain tumor.

Rutter played Udonna, the white mystic ranger and mentor of the rangers, from mystic force.

R.I.P. Peta, you will be remember by all the fans.

By the way, Papenbrook did Deviot in Lost Galaxy as well. Truly a great entertainer. Peta will dearly be missed as I did love her in Mystic Force.

That is really sad to here that some of the actors from the show have died. I have often thought about whether anyone had sadly died and I guess this answers my question. It will certainly make me look at the series that these actors appeared in a very different light.

I just hope we don't lose any more.

I was around 7 when Power Rangers In Space first aired. I can say I watched almost every episode, from number 1 to the end of In Space. So every character was a part of my childhood. It's just sad to hear that they all passed. Thuy Trang death is new, news to me. She was to young and beautiful.

Rest In Peace to all that have passed. <3

It does really suck that we lost Thuy so young. She was so talented.

Wow I didn't realize so many people associated with the show had died. I was only aware of Thuy Trang.

Truly a shame to see so many gone.

I recently ran through many of my favorite shows, and Power Rangers, along with Babylon 5 by far appear to have the most deaths.

Which is sad to see.
